Vestas has received an order for 303 units of the V82-1.65 MW wind turbine in the USA.

The turbines will have a total installed capacity of 500 MW and will be delivered to wind power projects in the states of Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Vestas will deliver and commission the turbines with delivery scheduled to begin in 2009 and continue in 2010 and 2011. The order has been placed by Alliant Energy Corporation, a public utility holding company headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin.
