Conergy Wind GmbH has announced the sale of its first two PowerWind 56 (900 kW) wind turbines.

The purchaser is the German project developer Energiequelle. Conergy Wind GmbH has also entered a strategic partnership with the project developer for an option to acquire further PowerWind 56 wind turbines in 2008 and the two years that follow. In Bremerhaven, the company has been operating manufacturing plants for wind turbines since the beginning of January. The company is already operating three PowerWind 56 wind turbines in Bremerhaven and southern Italy. The company estimates production of 100 wind turbines during the current year. Conergy Wind GmbH currently has 65 employees at its headquarters in Hamburg and in the production facility in Bremerhaven.
