SUEZ has acquired, for the sum of € 321 million, 50.1% of La Compagnie du Vent, a wind energy developer in France.

La Compagnie du Vent's wind parks, both up and running, and in the finishing stages of construction represent 148MW. La Compagnie du Vent plan to take their production capacity up to 2 000MW by 2015. SUEZ will take their stake in La Compagnie du Vent to 56.8% following the next issue of capital which is reserved for them.
