REpower Systems AG is expanding its production capacity in Germany and has inaugurated a new production hall at the company's manufacturing site in Trampe, located to the northeast of Berlin.

To meet the increasing demand for wind energy turbines of the multi-megawatt class the existing halls, each with a length of 55 metres, have both been extended by an annex of 35 metres length each. For this purpose, the company has invested approx. € 1.2 million. Construction started in June this year and the halls were completed last week. Previously, Trampe had an annual production capacity of about 150 wind energy turbines; in the extensions, six wind energy turbines can be manufactured weekly now which will double the annual production capacity.
