NRG Systems introduces new generation of wind tower technology Print E-mail
Wednesday, 08 August 2007

NRG Systems, Inc. announced its XHD NOW System featuring the new 50- or 60-meter XHD TallTower.

The XHD TallTower is the foundation of the NRG NOW System. The XHD is their next generation tower based on the HD TallTower design introduced in 2006.XHD TallTowers are ice-rated under structural engineering standard TIA/EIA 222-F. Both 50- and 60-meter towers use 10-inch and 8-inch diameter steel tubes and have a stronger base plate. Interchangeable parts simplify installation and maintenance throughout the life of the towers and streamline production. The XHD TallTowers also offer multiple anchor layout options. A smaller footprint can be used for installations along ridgelines or in places where it is important to minimize forest or crop clearing. Both versions of the new tower will be packaged and shipped using NRG Systems' eco-friendly EnviroCrate packaging system.
