LED medium-intensity dual beacon receives FAA certification Print E-mail
Tuesday, 29 May 2007

Dialight Corporation's new LED medium- intensity, red-white flashing beacon for marking broadcast and communication towers, wind turbines and other obstacles to aircraft navigation, is now ETL certified to FAA Advisory Circular 150/5345-43F.

The Dialight dual-mode beacon offers the equivalent of 10-plus years of lamp life. The result is reduced maintenance costs. What's more its solid-state emitters are much less prone to damage  from harmonic tower vibration and thermal stress than the glass gas  discharge tubes in xenon units or fragile glass incandescent lamps. Unlike  xenon units, the Dialight LED beacon creates no EMI/RFI which can result in  dropped calls, and precision optics reduce light pollution, making it easier to  comply with local zoning requirements and community ordinances.
