The Siemens Power Generation Group (PG) will build a further offshore wind farm in the UK.

Siemens will supply 30 wind power systems with a combined capacity of 108MW for the Gunfleet Sands project off the east coast of England. Gunfleet Sands will be the third British offshore project in which the Siemens wind turbine with a capacity of 3.6MW is deployed. Purchaser is the Danish company DONG Energy A/S. The total investment in the offshore wind farm is approximately € 270 million. Construction of the Gunfleet Sands offshore wind farm is scheduled to begin in 2009.
