The Vestas Group has received a US order for 39 units of V80-1.8MW wind turbines to be delivered in the first quarter of 2008 for the second phase of the Marengo project in the state of Washington, USA.

The order has been placed by PacifiCorp. Vestas will supply and commission the wind turbines, and the order also includes a four-year maintenance and service agreement. The first phase of the Marengo project was purchased by PacifiCorp in October 2006 and is scheduled for commercial operation in August 2007. The second phase of the project will be located on adjacent land, with construction scheduled to begin in the spring of 2008.
